PATCH TESTING
Patch tests are mandatory. They can be done in studio prior to your appointment or can be sent to you by post. Please ensure you have forwarded full address when booking.
In your test kit you will find, an antiseptic swab for sanitising the test area, a blue micro lancet to scratch the skin, a little pot with pigment in it and a cotton bud to apply the pigment.
The best place to patch test is behind the ear. (If for some reason you cannot test the back of the ear it may be done on inside of elbow) small traces of pigment may be retained in the test area which will fade over time
1. Use the antiseptic swab to cleanse the skin
2. Scratch the skin with the blue lancet (round end will snap off to reveal lancet)
3. Dab on the pigment over the scratched skin
Leave on for 30mins before cleaning off. Then monitor the area for the next 24hours for any adverse reaction such as pain, itching, swelling, or redness.
